Around May 2024, Yida Capital completed its Pre-A round lead investment in Jiangsu Guanhe New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guanhe New Materials").

Founded in 2021, Guanhe New Materials specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of high-performance carbon fiber composite thermal field materials. Leveraging advanced manufacturing processes, the company integrates proprietary formulations, core technologies, and customized automated equipment to deliver stable domestic products that align with downstream clients' cost reduction and quality objectives.

Currently, the silicon carbide substrate market is experiencing rapid growth, with major global substrate material companies significantly expanding production capacity to meet demand. High-temperature thermal field materials for SiC crystal growth are critical consumables determining substrate quality during crystal fabrication, commanding high value proportions. Foreign manufacturers have long dominated this segment. Seizing this opportunity, Guanhe New Materials leveraged its advanced carbon fiber product technology to strategically focus on carbon fiber thermal field materials, becoming a vital link in strengthening the third-generation semiconductor supply chain.

Yida Capital's investment team believes that Guanhe New Materials has entered the industry through silicon carbide hard felt, with products benchmarked against international manufacturers from the US, France, and Germany. It has now become one of the few domestic manufacturers validated by leading domestic silicon carbide substrate clients and achieving bulk supply.

Currently, the company's second-generation products are under development, promising further improvements in thermal field performance and cost reduction. We anticipate Guanhe New Materials will continue to focus on technological breakthroughs in carbon fiber thermal field materials, enhance its R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and steadily advance on the path of domestic substitution.
